LIS2DE12TR Linear Accelerometer: CAD Models, Datasheet, Features

Views: 452 Author: Site Editor Publish Time: Origin: Site

Description

The LIS2DE12 is an ultra-low-power highperformance three-axis linear accelerometer belonging to the “femto” family with digital I2C/SPI serial interface standard output. The LIS2DE12 has user-selectable full scales of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g and is capable of measuring accelerations with output data rates from 1 Hz to 5.3 kHz. The self-test capability allows the user to check the functionality of the sensor in the final application. The device may be configured to generate interrupt signals by detecting two independent inertial wake-up/free-fall events as well as by the position of the device itself. The LIS2DE12 is available in a small thin plastic land grid array package ( LGA ) and is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C.

LIS2DE12TR Manufacturer

STMicroelectronics is a French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductors manufacturer headquartered in Plan-les-Ouates near Geneva, Switzerland. The company resulted from the merger of two government-owned semiconductor companies in 1987: "Thomson Semiconducteurs" of France and " SGS Microelettronica " of Italy. It is commonly called "ST", and it is Europe's largest semiconductor chip maker based on revenue. While STMicroelectronics corporate headquarters and the headquarters for EMEA region are based in the Canton of Geneva, the holding company, STMicroelectronics N.V. is incorporated in the  Netherlands .

LIS2DE12TR FAQ

What is the difference between accelerometer and linear accelerometer?

Using the key principles of angular momentum, the gyroscope helps indicate orientation. In comparison, the accelerometer measures linear acceleration based on vibration. The typical two-axis accelerometer gives users a direction of gravity in an aircraft, smartphone, car or other device.

Can accelerometer measure linear acceleration?

Description. Get the measurement of acceleration in m/s2 in the X, Y, and Z directions from the accelerometer on the  Android ™ device. The Accelerometer block has three outputs: X , Y , and Z. The X and Y axes, which are perpendicular to the acceleration of Earth gravity, both output ≈0

What is MEMS accelerometer sensor?

MEMS accelerometers are used wherever there is a need to measure linear motion, either movement, shock or vibration but without a fixed reference. They measure the linear acceleration of whatever they are attached to.
